This post contains many helpful tips that I use on a daily basis to stay motivated and productive. If I ever feel like procrastinating I usually refer to these resources to get back on track. I’m hoping this helps you too!

Four Simple Rules

Summary

  1. No more zero days [something, anything, is better than nothing]
  2. Be grateful to the three “you”s [past, present and future you]
  3. Forgive yourself [appreciate past efforts, even without actions]
  4. Exercise and books [a double-dose of intelligence and reinforcement]

If you ever feel like you are at the lowest point in your life where nothing is going your way, have a read of the link below. I believe the reason why these rules are so effective is because they are simple to understand and change your habits gradually. Almost everyday I remind myself about the non-zero rule. A little everyday can add up, just think of it as a small investment that will lead to a bigger reward.

I just don’t care about myself. I’m not sure if this is a rant or a cry for help. Probably both. I just don’t give a shit about myself anymore. I’m away at college my first… www.reddit.com/r/getdisciplined/comments/1q96b5/i_just_dont_care_about_myself/ link-https://www.redditstatic.com/new-icon.png

Self Improvement Is NOT The Answer To Everything

Why self improvement is ruining your life This video is about self improvement, self development, self help, and why all of that can be a good or a bad thing depending on your outlook. It can either ruin your life, or make it worth living. I’m Joey Schweitzer, this is Better Ideas, and I don’t know what else to say… youtu.be/DEz7oJy37lI link-https://i.ytimg.com/vi/DEz7oJy37lI/maxresdefault.jpg

Self improvement will not solve all of your problems. The smartest people in the world don’t go out of their way to look for self improvement videos and books to keep themselves motivated. They are obsessed over what they do. It is also not enough to do the research on what you love. You need to take the first step and get the experience.

How to Improve Yourself Right NOW (and Why) - Prof. Jordan Peterson Psychology professor Jordan B. Peterson provides practical advice on how you can get some substantial self improvement started - even within the hour. 1. Why should you bother improving yourself? So you and those around you don’t have to suffer.
  2. How do you go about fixing yourself? Find the problems throughout your life and fix it. One by one.
  3. What should you fix? Fix the bad habits you do everyday. We tend to ignore the small habits when they are actually the most important to fix.
  4. What if you can’t fix it? Ignore it for now and move on to something you can do.

Probably my all time favourite presentation. He talks about how important your childhood dreams are and how to go about achieving them when you grow older. How you must take your time to dream. “We cannot change the cards we are dealth, just how we play the hand”.
