This post contains many helpful tips that I use on a daily basis to stay motivated and productive. If I ever feel like procrastinating I usually refer to these resources to get back on track. I’m hoping this helps you too!
Four Simple Rules
Summary
No more zero days [something, anything, is better than nothing]
Be grateful to the three “you”s [past, present and future you]
Forgive yourself [appreciate past efforts, even without actions]
Exercise and books [a double-dose of intelligence and reinforcement]
If you ever feel like you are at the lowest point in your life where nothing is going your way, have a read of the link below. I believe the reason why these rules are so effective is because they are simple to understand and change your habits gradually. Almost everyday I remind myself about the non-zero rule. A little everyday can add up, just think of it as a small investment that will lead to a bigger reward.
Self improvement will not solve all of your problems. The smartest people in the world don’t go out of their way to look for self improvement videos and books to keep themselves motivated. They are obsessed over what they do. It is also not enough to do the research on what you love. You need to take the first step and get the experience.
Probably my all time favourite presentation. He talks about how important your childhood dreams are and how to go about achieving them when you grow older. How you must take your time to dream. “We cannot change the cards we are dealth, just how we play the hand”.
